The big move is 18 days away!
Mike and I have different tastes most of the time, which meant it came down to me hand picking a few of my favorite ideas for the house and spreading them out in front of him for a response. So far, we agree on the kitchen. We’re going to use these photos from Better Homes and Gardens as our inspiration. The color choice is terra cotta for the walls and an aged or antique white for the cabinets. The trick is finding these colors in a tasteful shade by Sherwin Williams. I’m also aiming for a similar backsplash–can’t wait to get rid of that ugly gray blue. I really want to make this home cozy and inviting. The plan is to stay with earthy paint colors throughout the house, but no boring white.

Thanks! I don’t know if we’ll get to replace the countertops, but we’ll at least be able to redo the tile, paint, cabinet colors, cabinet hardware, and build in a cute little nook bench for the dinning table. I loved your before and afters. I hope to do that with our changes.
Thanks!! If you do look into replacing the counter tops – give Quartz a lot of consideration. Quite an upgrade from linoleum or tile, and not as expensive as granite. Plus, granite takes maintenance (sealing and so forth) while Quartz does not. We have been very pleased with ours
